Algorithmic trading gives you superhuman trading abilities. You can watch hundreds or even thousands of markets, scanning for opportunity without slowing yourself down because the heavy lifting is being done by a computer. All this data and power has a price, however; this usually represents a significant barrier to entry for individual traders and investors who want to start trading quantitatively.
